Abstract.

The topic of corporate sustainability, sustainable economic growth, and employment is becoming increasingly central to the international community. The purpose of this study is to determine the state of implementation of SDG 8 in Russia on the basis of official data in order to assess the context in which Russian companies operate and future challenges related to sustainable development issues for the country. For this purpose, a quantitative analysis was conducted, which, through the use of official statistics and the FORECAST.ETS function, made it possible to determine the value that the indicators will have in 2030. In addition, a dynamic index methodology was applied to measure the degree of implementation of SDG 8 between two different historical periods: 2019 and 2030. In this paper, the trend recorded in the analyzed indicators from 2010 to 2019 was extrapolated to determine the extent to which Russia will achieve SDG 8 indicators by 2030. The year 2019 was used as the benchmark for each indicator, as it represents in most calculations the last year of data collection by Rosstat and allows us to identify Russia's strategies for implementing policies consistent with the 2030 SDG Agenda. The analysis shows that Russia needs to take urgent action to fulfill its commitments under the 2030 Agenda.
