Abstract.
In this article, the authors analyze the reasons for the lack of integration, exchange of resources, knowledge and experience between different parts of the regional economic space. Thus, there are no relevant models, mechanisms and tools, and there is a shortage of scientific and methodological base for the construction of sustainable mechanisms of intraregional cooperation. The authors of the article have developed a methodology for studying the connectivity and asymmetry of the development of the regional economic space. The basis of this technique is the gravity model A. Scheffle, supplemented and improved by the authors with a matrix of determinants of intraregional interaction. The main elements of the matrix are economic, labor, investment, and the determinant of consumption activity. Taking into account these elements, a system of indicators has been developed to assess the degree of connectivity of the regional economic space. A system of partial equations is proposed for estimating connectivity for each group of determinants, as well as a method for calculating the integral indicator. The application of the proposed methodology is important for identifying territorial imbalances and developing regional policy strategies aimed at leveling the levels of socio-economic development and improving the efficiency of regional resource management.
