Abstract.
The article reveals the important characteristics of doing business, which are ESG criteria. The leading companies of the Russian and foreign economies are trying to stay on the rails of sustainable development, focused not only on financial indicators, but also on non-financial factors. Depending on how a company manages key sustainability indicators, its cash flows are formed, which are the foundation of the vital activity of economic entities. The correct definition of key performance indicators contributes to the effective integration of the principles of sustainable development into the corporate strategy of the company. The problem of determining key performance indicators is due to the fact that, regardless of various methods and methodologies, a unified methodology for determining key indicators currently cannot take into account the individual parameters of an economic entity, objectively and reliably assess industry risks, industry characteristics within which a particular company operates, organizational structure and many other factors that distinguish one a company from another one. In this regard, there is an urgent need to develop methodologies that would take into account performance indicators specific to each sector of the economy. The research hypothesis is determined by a review of key performance indicators that form a system of financial and non-financial factors of sustainable business. The purpose of the scientific research is due to the systematization of key indicators and parameters for measuring efficiency in the company's sustainable development management system.
