Abstract.
The article examines the prospects for business development in the context of a green economy. The importance of these prospects is due to the desire of enterprises for sustainable development, not only taking into account financial indicators, but also taking into account social and environmental aspects. A high degree of uncertainty in economic relations highlights the importance of problems and risks that can negatively affect business processes. The solution to these problems for a particular enterprise depends on its potential, including financial and resource capabilities, as well as on the desire to increase social and environmental responsibility. The study of important aspects of the green economy in the context of the concept of sustainable development represents a relevant and multifaceted analysis aimed at identifying the basic principles, prerequisites and prospects of this approach. However, large companies have significantly greater financial resources, which allows them to implement new technologies with much greater ease. This gives them the opportunity to use innovative technologies that are highly cost-effective in both production processes and environmental impact. The ability to attract investment and direct it to promote the principles of a green economy opens up wide opportunities for such economic entities to strengthen ties with other market participants. Thanks to these resources, companies can quickly respond to social and environmental issues within their influence and impact. A high level of awareness of an economic entity in socio-ecological terms forms the positive aspects of its functioning in a green economy. This provides it with stability of development both in the current and in future periods of financial and economic activity.
