Abstract.
Labor resources, labor potential are the main driving force of progress in recent decades. Currently, the formation of a digital economy based on information technology and artificial intelligence is taking place. The accelerated development of digital technologies in the domestic economy and social sphere will definitely allow reaching a new, more technological level of business, as well as increase the country's competitiveness in the global market, but most importantly, it will improve the quality of life of people and strengthen national security. Important today is the need to develop our own information technology platforms and the formation of industry clusters based on them. This task is solved with a clear understanding of the quality of labor resources and the possibilities of the labor potential of the population. And since labor resources and labor potential are the forwards of this development, they need to be given increased attention. The mobility of labor resources significantly affects the country's economy. Methods for maintaining labor potential are programs of state support for labor mobility. The article reveals the concepts of "labor resources", "labor potential", "mobility of labor resources". Particular attention is paid to the statistical analysis of labor mobility in the Russian Federation. The influence of labor mobility on the country's economy is substantiated. In the course of the study, the main reserves for the formation and use of labor potential in the Russian Federation were identified.
