Abstract.
Numerical integration methods, their software implementation and the study of the possibility of their use in solving problems in the regional economy are considered. Integration methods make it possible to study complex phenomena, processes, and objects that are not described by mathematical dependencies and can only be determined using approximation. The article provides a comparative analysis of such numerical methods as: the method of rectangles, trapezoids, Simpson and Gauss. The advantages and disadvantages of the studied methods, their errors in the calculations are revealed. A software implementation of numerical integration methods has been performed, which makes it possible to perform calculations in a mobile application. Flowcharts of algorithms of the studied methods have been developed and a computational experiment has been performed, which made it possible to establish the most accurate method in comparison with the selected standard of calculus. The areas of application of the use of numerical integration methods in assessing the activities of enterprises in the regional economy are noted, which make it possible to effectively solve the problems of financial analysis, forecasting, financial risk assessment, etc.
